My name is Namrata and this is an evolving constellation of ideas, projects and explorations. I move between urban research, spatial design and visual storytelling.
My research and practice grow at the intersection of urbanisation, infrastructure, water futures and collective climate action. I care about transforming diverse visions and ideas into tangible, actionable and equitable transitions and urban futures. All of my work lives in collaborative spaces, iterated with many people and places, be it research or an artistic inquiry.
Sometimes I make visuals to bring people closer to complex academic research and publications. Some of these projects are entire ecosystems in themselves collectively grown over years. Others are initial experiments to probe spatial and social injustices in climate movements, social and environmental impacts of urban planning and policies, and broadly what our entangled urban futures might look like.
I am a runner and an avid cyclist, exploring cities by foot and pedal. I love to draw everything I write, and often write about people, places and things I draw from.
All of the work you see on this website have been made by many hands and minds. If you would like to collaborate on something, even if it just a vague idea at the moment, send me a message on:
